Guardsman (Barbados) Limited is looking for a Regional Information Technology Manager to be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of the Information Technology systems across our regional offices.

The successful candidate will have proven professional experience and a detailed knowledge of the industry’s best practices processes.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitoring daily operations, including server hardware, software and operating systems.
  • Coordinating technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance with the Group’s IT Department
  • Selecting and purchasing new and replacement hardware and software, when necessary.
  • Testing, troubleshooting, and modifying information systems so that they operate effectively
  • Modify, clean, install and repair computer systems and hardware as instructed and required on a planned preventative schedule.
  • Conduct training sessions device functionalities, software and user interface applications.
  • Produce training materials for in-house courses as required.
  • Design and expand training and development programmes based on the needs of our clients, the organization and the individual.
  • Handling technical support cases via phone, email submission, and/or remote access.
  • Maintain system functionality by testing computer components, and performing hardware and software installation.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to staff and clients regarding hardware and software issues.
  • Modify, clean, install and repair computer systems and hardware as instructed and required on a planned preventative schedule.
  • Assuring all IT activities are performed within the parameters of applicable laws, codes, and regulations
  • Evaluate training and development programmes and amend and revise programmes as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment;

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
  • Certificates and training in computer programs and/or ITIL Foundation or related field.
  • A m
  • inimum of 5 years’ experience in Information Technology to include network design, implementation and software management/support.
  • Familiarity with IT operations, quality assurance and ISO compliance procedures and regulations.
  • Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure and services

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work on call or on demand as the work load dictates
  • Track record in designing and executing successful training programs
